I like the combination of Dubstep and Orchestral sounding music. I also liked effects here and there like the choir at 2:00 and your rise back into the main theme. Most people don't have a bridge to their song in the middle like yours. That's a good thing. It really makes you unique. My one suggestion is to add in some small sounds that will grab the listener's attention if they drift away while listening. Sounds like these could include something like occasional finger cymbal dings in the spaces between the harp's melody.

Snakewine responds:

That's a good idea! I should reflect your suggestion when I make a new song that has this style.
Thank you so much for listening to my track! :DDD

Using this for an animation or a movie would be a great idea. It sounds amazing! One small thing I suggest is to turn down the strings a little bit at the end. To me, it felt a little bit loud, and I wanted to hear the drums a little bit more. Otherwise, great job!

SAMFISH responds:

Thanks so much! I'll remember that for future projects! :D

I loved the filter effects you used. I also loved the melody. Very heroic sounding!

I love it! This sounds like it belongs in a YouTube intro or something.

This is a low-key track. I could see it being used as a DJ track in front of a live audience and being mixed. There are a lot of great things that grab the listener's attention, such as the "woah's" at 2:10 or the snaps at 1:38. I think it could use more melody over the bass layers. Also, there is always room for more dynamic contrast. You want to see dips and rises in the audio waveform. Otherwise, great job!

In my opinion, the drums could've had a little bit more of a kick, or maybe some extra reverb to make them stronger. Otherwise, great beat!

I liked the ride cymbal and the woodblock in the background. They both added a nice texture to whatever the other sounds were.

Thanks

I could see this song being used in many different video games. I've recently gotten hooked on Geometry Dash again (even though its kind of dead) and your remix would work perfectly for a level. The repetitiveness of the remix would work well in the background of a game since the listener wouldn't only be listening but also playing the game. The only thing I could suggest is to add more dynamic variety. Otherwise, good job!

mutty99 responds:

Good statement: repetitiveness is one of the main characteristics of Eurobeat tracks. I've decided to not add any more instruments because my CPU distorts when i play them in the project.
However, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)

The description you gave for the song explained it very well. To me, the song did have a goblin character to it and I could really hear that in the melodies. I'm not sure why everyone is giving this zero's, but I read your post, and you're right. You are unique, and this song has stood out to me from the other two that I listened to from other users. In my opinion, towards the beginning, some of the melodies sounded different against the chords and not necessarily pretty to the ear. However, arguably, the piece is supposed to be this way because it is about groblins, and you have every right as a producer to do whatever you want. Nicely done!

Trash-Man-1 responds:

Thank you.

I could totally see this being put into a video game. It has those classic 8 bit sounds and crushy drums. It is very well made for the genre you listed it for. A couple suggestions I would make would be to vary the dynamics a little bit more. When I look at the waveform of the audio file, I don't see much difference except for the beginning. You should see dips and rises in your waveform. That is one way to gauge how you are using dynamic contrast. Another suggestion I would make is to pull away from the main melody and add some more variation. However, I like how you stuck with the melody throughout the whole song.

Cirrowave responds:

Thanks for the feedback :)

I love to unicycle, study Computer Science, and make music. I have been playing piano since I was 4 years old. Here's a fun fact: I have perfect pitch! I'm looking for an outlet to share both of my passions which are music and computer science.
